Packing Unit

At LAMSOR Exports, packing is treated as an extension of manufacturing and quality control — not a final formality.

Natural stone is heavy, brittle, and unforgiving in transit. Our packing systems are designed to protect material integrity, maintain load stability, and ensure stones reach site in the same condition in which they leave our facility.

1. Crate Setup

Export-grade wooden crates are fabricated using reinforced, seaworthy timber, designed to withstand handling stress, stacking loads, and long-distance transit.

  • Structural rigidity
  • Load balance
  • Safe handling across multiple transfer points

Crate dimensions and internal layout are determined based on stone type, thickness, and packing orientation.

2. Crate Preparation for Stone Packing

Before material placement, crates are internally prepared using polythene liners and industrial-grade cushioning materials.

  • Protects edges and surfaces
  • Absorbs vibration during movement
  • Prevents abrasion between stone units

Preparation standards are adjusted depending on stone finish, thickness, and sensitivity.

3. Placement of Natural Stone Products

Stone units are systematically placed to achieve maximum stability and space efficiency. Orientation, layering sequence, and weight distribution are planned to:

  • Minimise internal movement
  • Prevent point-load stress
  • Maintain uniform load balance

This step is critical for preserving dimensional accuracy and surface finish during transit.

4. Securing & Filling the Crate

Once the placement pattern is finalised, the crate is filled tightly and secured to eliminate voids. Interleaving sheets, spacers, and cushioning materials are used to:

  • Lock units in position
  • Prevent vibration-induced damage
  • Maintain alignment throughout transit

The objective is zero movement from origin to destination.

5. Safety Assurance

Each packed crate undergoes safety verification prior to sealing. This includes:

  • Multi-layer internal protection checks
  • Load stability assessment
  • Certified fumigation where required for international compliance

All safety measures are aligned with international shipping and import regulations.

5. Safety Assurance

6. Dispatch Logistics

Final sealing, strapping, and weather-proofing are completed under controlled conditions. From dock release to container loading:

  • Each crate is monitored
  • Handling instructions are enforced
  • Documentation is verified

This ensures secure movement from our facility to international ports and onward to project sites.
